According to this article our global economy is now realizing that we need to start investing in a greener future. I think that the two ideas mentioned in this article are a positive step toward taking control of global climate issues. Corporate America and other huge international companies must accept the fact that we need to change the way of living life an producing things. These huge companies that everyone looks up and praises are the companies that will have the influence on our society to continue to change and go green. Investing in this new way of green economic growth will develop a new way of thinking, helping people realize how important it is to invest in environmental risk. With incentives and risk outlined investors will hopefully change their mindset for a greener future of investing.

This article definitely brings up some good points and integral barriers to green economic growth in our country. At this current moment, I believe investors (and tax payers, namely families) are ready to invest into a greener future. I feel as though the greatest barriers to sustainable economic growth in the future are the people who are highest up and need to take the initiative to give the tax breaks and increased investment to such initiatives. I believe that at this current moment in time however their (monetary) interests are 'pulling in the opposite direction', as many of these individuals have ties to the 'heads' of the leaders in unsustainable markets (oil companies for example). Until there is a paradigm shift in our country, we will continue living in a way where we must set 'goals' to assure that our way of life is not harming the planet at a rate that is catastrophic to our existence. When there is an international paradigm shift and we have changed the way we live we will have the potential to exist 'sustainably' within a truly green economy.

This article underlines some great steps that need to be taken in order to fully "go green". Alot of countries like China, Brazil and South Africa are shaping their markets in a way which encourages greater investments in tomorrows low carbon and resource-efficient global economy. I think U.S need to head in the same direction as these countries. Another important fact in this article was the increase in clean-tech investments in developing economies. Investments have grown from $4.5 billion in 2004 to $68 billion in 2011 in these economies. If tax breaks are given and investment in green projects are encouraged more, we will be living in an environmental friendly world very soon.

It is sad how people are now only starting to realize that we need to invest in green technology. The Government has known for many years but I believe the oil companies have not allowed the change to happen. Heck, we have fought wars just for oil! Supposedly this new green technology is "too expansive" but these must be a way it can be implemented in society slowly. Yes at first the change would take getting used to but in the end it would make for a more profitable and greener society. The U.S. has too much stake in fossil fuels to just make this change quickly and will take more time than countries like China.
